I found the love fest with Brady Tkachuk hard to take. Most of the points you made about his competitiveness are spot on. What you failed to mention is that Brady Tkachuk and his entire family most of the time, have failed to win championships. Keith Tkachuk never won a Stanley Cup. Brady Tkachuk has won nothing. No WJC, no NCAA Frozen 4, and has even failed to lead his team to a playoff. Matt Tkachuk is the sole exception, winning a Memorial Cup and a Stanley Cup last season, on a team with Alex Barkov, Gustav Forsling, Sam Bennett, Sam Reinhart, a top of his game Bobrovsky and a healthy $4.1MM CAP overage in the playoffs. If you had a probability sample for the Tkachuk's winning a championship, the standard deviation would be extremely high. On a personal level, they have been immensely successful, but for whatever reason, championships do not follow in their wake. Maybe they were on mediocre teams their whole careers (except for Matthew) but maybe there's something else there that affects winning. It's an observation, but I would rather not have a Tkachuk on my team.
Thanks gents. Not surprised at all about your politics comments. Personally I was not looking for any of the players to comment on the politics of our time. On the other hand Gretzky is a putz and tuchus lecher. He should have his Canadian passport revoked.

The last game before the break, when Slafkovsky was demoted from the first line, he started throwing his weight around when he got ice time.
It was forced, but it was there.
